Ticketing Overview

Sell tickets directly from Band Account — no third-party platform needed.

Band Account has a built-in ticketing system that lets you sell tickets to your shows, collect payment directly into your bank account via Stripe, and manage door entry with a mobile QR scanner — all without paying fees to a third-party ticketing platform.

How it works

Here's the end-to-end flow:

  1. 1Connect your Stripe account (one-time setup) so you can receive payments
  2. 2Enable ticketing on any show and create ticket types (General Admission, VIP, Early Bird, etc.)
  3. 3Share the public show page link with fans — they can buy tickets without creating an account
  4. 4Buyers receive a confirmation email with a 'View Ticket' link
  5. 5The ticket page displays a QR code the buyer shows at the door
  6. 6Use the in-app scanner on any phone to scan tickets and check in guests
  7. 7Track sales, revenue, and check-in rates on the Ticket Sales Dashboard

What does it cost?

Band Account charges a 2.5% platform fee on each ticket sale. Standard Stripe processing fees also apply (typically 1.4% + 30p for UK cards). There are no monthly fees or setup costs for ticketing — you only pay when you sell.

For free events, you can create £0 ticket types. No fees are charged and tickets are issued instantly without going through Stripe checkout.

Requirements

To sell tickets you need: an active Band Account subscription, a completed Stripe Connect onboarding (takes around 5 minutes), and a show marked as public with ticketing enabled.
