The Buyer's Ticket Experience
What fans see when they buy a ticket and how they access it at the door.
Band Account is designed to make ticket purchasing as frictionless as possible for fans. They don't need an account — just a name, email address, and a payment card.
Purchasing a ticket
Fans buy tickets on the public show page (/shows/[id]):
- 1Select the ticket type and quantity
- 2Enter their name and email address
- 3Optionally enter a discount code
- 4Click 'Buy tickets' — they're taken to a secure Stripe checkout page
- 5After payment, they land on a confirmation page
The confirmation email
Immediately after purchase, Band Account sends a confirmation email to the buyer's email address. The email shows the show details (title, date, venue) and a 'View Ticket & QR' button for each ticket in the order.
If a buyer doesn't receive the email, ask them to check their spam/junk folder. The email is sent from onboarding@resend.dev in development, or your custom domain if configured.
Viewing the ticket
Clicking 'View Ticket & QR' opens the ticket page in their browser. This page shows:
- 1A QR code to scan at the door
- 2Ticket type and status
- 3Show date, time, and venue
- 4Ticket holder name
Advise buyers to save the ticket link to their phone's home screen for quick access at the door — they don't need to open their email again.
Lost tickets
If a buyer loses their confirmation email, they can contact you directly. As the band admin you can look up their order on the Attendees tab of the Ticket Sales Dashboard and resend them the ticket link (/tickets/[token]).
