Band Account ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Band Account platform, a band management and collaboration tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your email address, name, and profile information provided through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

Band & Content Data

We store the content you create on the platform, including band profiles, songs, setlists, events, show listings, chat messages, and any files you upload such as audio files.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Band Account service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails such as invite notifications and account updates
  • Enable real-time collaboration features (chat, notifications)
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Respond to support requests

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform:

5. Public Pages

Band profiles and links pages marked as public by the band owner are accessible without authentication. Any information you include on a public band profile — name, bio, links, images — will be visible to anyone with the URL.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability
