@mentions in chat
How to tag band members in chat messages and manage mention notifications.
You can mention any band member in a chat message by typing @ followed by their name. They'll receive a notification and the message will be highlighted until they read it.
How to mention someone
- 1Start typing @ in the message input
- 2A dropdown will appear showing matching band members
- 3Use the arrow keys or mouse to select the person
- 4Press Enter or click their name to insert the mention
- 5Finish your message and send it
How mentions look
Your mention appears as a highlighted name in the message (e.g. @James in blue). For the person mentioned, the message card shows a blue border and 'You were mentioned' label until they open the channel.
Mentions cut through channel noise — use them when you need a specific person's attention rather than posting in a separate message.
Mention notifications
Every @mention creates a notification in the Notifications section. You'll also see the blue highlight on the message in the chat itself. The highlight clears automatically when you view the channel.
